This is in recognition the continued successful management and oversight provided for the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program – Enterprise System (CTEP-ESYS), a Clinical Trials and Research Management (CTRM) system.

CTIS’ Chief Information Officer, Parasuram Iyer, received the NIH Director’s Award in recognition of his exceptional leadership and sustained contributions in Information Security in support of the NIH mission. His nomination was in conjunction with the Certification and Accreditation activities performed for CTIS’ NIH contracts and could not have been possible without the exceptional efforts of the CTIS CIT team.

Deloitte’s Fast 50 Growing Technology Companies in Maryland Award
CTIS was recognized, for the 7th consecutive year, as a member of Deloitte’s Fast 50 growing technology companies in Maryland. Deloitte bases this awarded membership on a company’s growth rate over the last five years. CTIS is very proud for this achievement seeing that this 7th award reflects an annual 22.8% aggregate growth rate over the last seven years. CTIS’ accomplishment was profiled in a special insert in the October 2006 issue of Washington SmartCEO magazine. Deloitte gives out these awards by using the last five years of company’s growth. CTIS is very proud for its achievement.

Computerworld’s Award for “Best Practices in Infrastructure Management”
September 13, 2006-CTIS received Computerworld’s award for “Best Practices in Infrastructure Management” under the category of “Security, Risk Management and Business Continuity/Dynamic Information.” Our CIO, Parasuram Iyer, received this award on behalf of our work for CTEP and NCI. This is a great honor, CTIS is very proud of its achievement as the Computerworld awards are one of the most prestigious in the Industry.

NCI Director’s Award
The CTEP management team received the 2006 National Cancer Institute (NCI) Director’s Award for the development and implementation of a state-of-the-art clinical trial management IT system. CTEP-ESYS IT System is developed by CTIS. The National Cancer Act was passed by Congress in 1971, making cancer research a national priority. Since then, NCI employee efforts have led to significant progress in cancer detection, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Each year at the NCI Director’s Award Ceremony, recognition is given for the outstanding contributions of our colleagues who aid in the continued advancement of this progress.

Community Humanitarian and Advocate of the Vulnerable Award
The Community Ministries of Rockville awards CTIS’ CEO, Raj Shah the Humanitarian & Advocate of the Vulnerable award. The award was given in recognition of CTIS's contributions, spearheaded by Raj's personal commitment, in support of CMR's Health Clinic, by upgrading technologies, educating healthcare providers and coordinating services. Subsequently, CMR has done focus groups, identified other partners, established a model program with Mobile Med, and met the criteria for funding from Montgomery County. Now, with the contribution from the City of Rockville, 4-5,000 uninsured and underserved residents will be assured of having access to adequate health care.
Reverend Kasey added that, "Raj Shah’s generosity impacts the lives of thousands who will never know him. He is supporting healthcare initiatives in Peru, Jordan and India, where he is upgrading technologies, educating healthcare providers and coordinating services. He is a world citizen with a residence in Fairfax and a business owner of, CTIS Inc., in Rockville".
