Job Description Overview: The position will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions for CTIS, which is a CMMi Level 3 certified company and uses RUP methodology for software development lifecycle. Job Description Overview:
We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Director for Communication, Exchange & Mobile Solutions with working organizational experience on the state or national level. Applicants should have at least five years of working practice in the area of communications, health disparities, health policy or related fields as well as experience in project start up and management. The Deputy Director reports directly to the Project Director and is viewed as the primary source, disseminator and conduit of information within a diverse network and constituent base. The Deputy Director will work closely with the senior peer group within the organization, as the primary communications are on a variety of strategic policy initiatives. Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major course-work in communications, mass media or a related field is required. A Master's degree is desirable. Required Skills:
The desired candidate will plan, organize, and coordinate the activities of the Communication, Exchange & Mobile Solutions Core for the Health Policy Research Consortium (HPRC). This includes showcasing the demonstrated ability to engage with state and local news media, and public affairs programming by using traditional and social platforms via radio and television programs to promote the use of brochures, websites, streaming video, blogs, twitter feeds, Facebook, and urban media events to succeed in reaching the community and providing health education and outreach.
Experience working in the health disparity and/or health policy arena is a plus. Would also prefer someone who is familiar with working in DC, MD and VA tri-state area.
