CTIS is pleased to announce that its CEO, Mr. Raj Shah, has accepted the invitation to join the Institute of Human Virology (IHV) Board of Directors as of September 4, 2013. Mr. Shah’s shares the same vision as IHV: to combine the disciplines of basic science, epidemiology, and clinical research in a concerted effort to speed the discovery of diagnostics and therapeutics for a wide variety of chronic and deadly viral and immune disorders.
The IHV, University of Maryland, School of Medicine was established to create and develop a world-class center of excellence focusing on chronic viral diseases, especially HIV/AIDS, and virally-linked cancers. The IHV is dedicated to the discovery, research, treatment, and prevention of these diseases. Its unique structure seeks to connect cohesive, multi-disciplinary research and clinical programs so that new treatments are streamlined from discovery to patient. The IHV serves patients locally and the scientific community globally.
